Balancing the environment and nature with development and growth presents challenges but also offers new opportunities. With the environment and sustainability in focus, NIRAS takes an integrated approach to enhance protection and production from natural resources for sustainable and inclusive Blue Economy development. We recognise that people, livelihoods, beyond human-focused and ecosystems must all be taken into consideration for successful management of natural resources and protection of the environment, our true capital resource. We emphasise socially acceptable solutions and, jointly with clients and partners, analyse opportunities and alternatives to address challenges at local, national and transnational scales. NIRAS provides services within biodiversity management and conservation, assessment of environmental impacts, the circular economy including waste management, nature-based solutions, environmental capacity building and training, and green and blue finance, among others.
