NIRAS-WWB Technical Proposal for Preferred Provider for MEF/GGSF TAF
Monitoring and Goal Setting
NIRAS and Women’s World Banking are continuously working towards increasing diversity within our organisations and are setting clear goals for how to do so.
Women’s World Banking are committed to hiring
of local talent within each region
We believe that this contributes to diversity and representation in the wider organisation, as well as to a better understanding of the local culture, language, and context. We also recognise that hiring local talent can lower our cost structure and leverage existing local connections and relationships.
We are confident that hiring local talent will enhance our performance and impact in each region.
In line with the goal, our consortium will utilse the following strategy when mobilising experts for each TA assignment:

NIRAS also strives toward building more gender-balanced teams and implementing gender mainstreamed projects.
We continuously track our own progress across variables such as age, nationality and gender. We know that diversity makes a difference not only to our staff but also to the bottom line.

Clients overall choose younger and more diverse teams tender teams
In our internal mapping of experts proposed for tenders and projects in 2020, we discovered that our clients often opt for the more balanced teams in terms of gender and age. We generally present a higher percentage of women in the proposals we win. Diversity works – not only for the well being of our staff, it is just good business.

We want our leadership and Board of Directors to reflect the diversity of our workforce
Today, NIRAS already has 50% representation of women on our Board of Directors. This is much higher than our target of 25% set in 2021. We have also increased the number of women in higher management from 22% to 27% women.

The above figures reflect NIRAS' targets set in 2021 as well as our current status of 2023
