Our Impact 2024

"In fulfilling our purpose of building a more equal, stable, and sustainable world, NIRAS International Consulting aims to be a recognised driver of positive change and innovation in sustainable development at both local and global levels. This first-ever Impact Report is part of that journey—our effort to systematically reflect on and communicate the tangible results of our work.

Powered by a diverse and committed team, we collaborate with clients and partners to generate solutions, share knowledge, and create long-term value. The indicators presented in this report represent our best attempt to quantify the collective achievements of 2024, drawing on data from a majority of NIRAS International Consulting-implemented projects with documented direct impact. Where data is incomplete, we acknowledge the limitations while reaffirming our commitment to improving data collection and reporting moving forward.

Reporting on impact indicators is not just a technical exercise; it is essential to demonstrating our effectiveness, ensuring accountability, and learning from experience. It sharpens our focus, helps identify areas for improvement, and builds trust with the clients and communities we serve. This report covers 16 indicators across five key thematic areas—economic development; climate, landscapes & agriculture; sustainable infrastructure; governance & democracy, and monitoring, evaluation & learning.

Looking ahead to 2025, the world faces profound societal challenges—from climate change to geopolitical instability. These are daunting, but they also present opportunities to contribute to meaningful transitions.
